use

Styrene is mainly used as an important monomer of synthetic resin, ion exchange resin and synthetic rubber, and can also be used in pharmaceutical, dye, pesticide and mineral processing industries.

Leak emergency treatment

Quickly evacuate the personnel from the contaminated area to the safety zone, isolate them, and strictly restrict access. Cut off the fire. It is recommended that emergency personnel wear self-contained positive pressure breathing apparatus and wear protective clothing. Cut off the source of leakage as much as possible. Prevent flowing into sewers, flood drains and other restricted Spaces.

Small leakage: absorption with activated carbon or other inert materials. It is also possible to scrub with an emulsion made of a non-combustible dispersant, which is diluted and placed in the wastewater system.

Large leakage: build a embankment or dig a pit to contain it. Cover with foam to reduce steam hazards. Transfer to a tank truck or special collector with an explosion-proof pump for recycling or transport to a waste disposal site.

Operational handling and storage

Operation precautions: closed operation, strengthen ventilation. Operators must be specially trained and strictly abide by the operating procedures. It is recommended that operators wear filter gas masks, chemical safety protective glasses, anti-gas permeation work clothes, and rubber oil-resistant gloves. Keep away from fire and heat. No smoking in the workplace. Use explosion-proof ventilation systems and equipment. Prevents steam from leaking into the workplace air. Avoid contact with oxidants and acids. When filling, the flow rate should be controlled, and there is a grounding device to prevent static accumulation. When handling, light loading and unloading should be done to prevent damage to packaging and containers. Equipped with the corresponding variety and quantity of fire equipment and leakage emergency treatment equipment. Empty containers may have harmful residues.

Storage precautions: Usually the product has an inhibitor. Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat. The temperature of the reservoir should not exceed 30℃. The package should be sealed and not in contact with air. It should be stored separately from oxidizers and acids, and should not be mixed. Do not store in large quantities or for a long time. Explosion-proof lighting and ventilation facilities are adopted. Do not use mechanical equipment and tools that are prone to spark. The storage area should be equipped with leak emergency treatment equipment and suitable containment materials.

Packing method: small opening steel drum; Sheet steel bucket or tinned sheet steel bucket (can) outside lattice box; Ampoule bottle outside ordinary wooden case; Threaded glass bottles, iron lid pressed glass bottles, plastic bottles or metal barrels (cans) outside ordinary wooden cases; Threaded glass bottles, plastic bottles or tinned sheet steel barrels (cans) are covered with floor lattice boxes, fiberboard boxes or plywood boxes.

Transportation precautions: The railway transportation should be in strict accordance with the dangerous goods loading table in the Ministry of Railways "Dangerous Goods Transport Rules". Transport vehicles should be equipped with the appropriate variety and quantity of fire equipment and leakage emergency treatment equipment. It is best to transport early and early in summer. The tank (tank) car used in transportation should have a grounding chain, and a hole partition can be provided in the tank to reduce static electricity generated by shock. It is strictly prohibited to mix with oxidants, acids and edible chemicals. During transportation, it should be protected from sunlight, rain and high temperature. Stay away from fire, heat source and high temperature area during stopover. The exhaust pipe of the vehicle carrying the article must be equipped with a fire retardant device, and the loading and unloading of mechanical equipment and tools that are easy to produce sparks is prohibited. Road transport should follow the prescribed route, do not stay in residential areas and densely populated areas. It is forbidden to slip them in railway transportation. It is strictly prohibited to use wooden or cement ships for bulk transport.
